A large bluestone church, the nave of which was erected in 1862 to the design of local architect Joseph L Shaw. One of the more prominent Anglican Churches of the 1850s, the first part of 1859-60 to the design of Nathaniel Billing, although this was never completed, and the vestry of 1965 is excluded. A church of unusual plan form, combining a triple arched west and (almost identical to the Hansom design employed at St Patrick's, Kilmore, 1857) with a French inspired east end incorporating apsidal chancel, chancel aisles and transepts.
